Location: Joshua Tree, California
Photographing elopements throughout Southern California, especially in Joshua Tree national park is an absolute dream. I’m usually one of four people including the couple and their officiant but sometimes my clients like to have a little intimate elopement wedding and invite a small amount of guests. That’s exactly what Victoria and Charlie did. They gathered 10 of their family members and we all drove down from Los Angeles to Joshua Tree on a beautiful Fall day. Everyone met at Cap Rock and I scouted the location for the ceremony nestled between the rock. Somehow Charlie and Victoria managed to not see each other until her father walked her down the dusty desert aisle! After the ceremony we meandered around the park for portraits and the epic desert sunset. Have you ever witnessed a sunset in Joshua Tree? If not you should add that to your bucket list as they are so dreamy.
As our time together came to a close Charlie turned to me and asked, “How does it feel to be a part of such an important day of someone’s life”. To which I replied, “Incredible”.
