WHAT TO DO IF YOU’RE PLANNING A WEDDING DURING THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

Okay so I know we are living in a very weird and stressful time. It can be very overwhelming emotionally to plan a wedding in general let alone during Covid-19 .

Take a step back and breathe!

Emotions are high, you’ve spent a lot of time and money planning and thinking about your wedding day. Organizing friends and family and investing emotionally as well as financially. Try to take a step back, breathe, and meditate (if that’s your thing) before you reach out to anyone. You’ll likely have to go with the flow with this ever changing environment.

Create space for all of your emotions then release them!

Cry, scream (I’ll cry and scream with you), grieve, be vulnerable, do what you need to do to let out those emotions and then try and move forward one day, one step a a time..

Seek out some happy news

Pick up the phone, check on a neighbor, or support small businesses by sending a loved one some flowers or a small gift to let them know you’re thinking of them.

Reach out to your vendor team as soon as possible and trust we have your back!

Talk to your team as soon as possible and consider rescheduling or altering your plans. The community support has been outstanding as we all learn to navigate uncharted territories together. Trust me, we’ve got you!

Consider eloping or having a small wedding

Think about the possibilities this situation is creating for you! Can you now have the elopement you’ve always dreamed of? Or can you now cut down the guest list and have a very intimate wedding with just the people you really want there? If you want you can always plan a bigger celebration and party with everyone at a later date.

I know this is a super emotional time but everything will be okay in the end. This is a moment in history and eventually, we will be looking back on it.

I’m here for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or are seeking advice about what to do.

At this time I still have availability in 2020 for intimate weddings and elopements, especially for the late summer and Fall.

I just opened my 2021 calendar for bookings and currently have a ton of availability. If you want to discuss how it feels to work with me then reach out on my contact page or below.

I’m a destination elopement and intimate wedding photographer helping couples craft a meaningful experience for their wedding day in nature. We’re often together for 6, 8, even 10 hours exploring multiple locations and doing meaningful activities. It’s my belief that elopements and intimate weddings should be treated with the same importance as a bigger more traditional wedding. Just minus the stress and with so much more fun!
