When Jenny and Jon told me they were having a Sequoia Retreat Center wedding I just knew I was the photographer for them. This place is to-die-for with the majestic beauty of the Redwoods. When their day arrived I drove up the coast of California to find the most magical wedding venue in the middle of the Redwoods. We arrived late at night twisting and turning up the dark winding roads surrounded by the ancient forest. That night we slept in a cozy little cabin at the Sequoia Retreat Center and awoke to a misty morning, the trees covered in fog. We were treated to breakfast with Jenny and Jon’s guests. With steam rising from mugs of coffee and chitter-chatter about the wedding day ahead.
This place is a truly magical Redwoods wedding venue in the Santa Cruz area. The ceremony location is in the middle of a sweet Redwood grove! They had the grounds to themselves as the majority of guests rented cabins for the weekend. The ceremony was in the amphitheater surrounded by Redwoods…the sun peeking out between the leaves. The Sequoia Retreat Center is the perfect place to celebrate the adventurous nature-loving couple.
